PARAISO Miami Swim Week returned to Miami Beach for its 22nd edition, reaffirming the city’s place as one of the global centers of swim and resortwear. Across runway presentations, brand activations, wellness moments, hospitality takeovers, and industry gatherings, the week brought together designers, buyers, media, celebrities, and tastemakers for a season that reflected both the commercial reach and cultural influence of contemporary swimwear.

Held at the PARAISO Tent at Collins Park, this year’s edition spotlighted more than 100 brands across fashion, beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and hospitality. Backstage, hair was done by Kevin Murphy with makeup provided by NY Makeup Academy. The runway calendar balanced established names with new voices, with returning brands including MONDAY Swimwear, Oceanus, Melissa Odabash, Oséree, Oh Polly, SHAN, Luli Fama, LainSnow, and Cupshe presenting collections for Resort and Cruise 2027. The week also welcomed a new wave of designers and collaborations, from FAE’s Miami Swim Week debut to Kulani Kinis’ presentation with SOJOS Eyewear.

Beyond the runway, PARAISO expanded into a wider cultural experience. The second annual Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame Honors Night returned as one of the week’s defining events, bringing the industry together at 1111 Lincoln Road to honor figures whose work continues to shape swimwear’s global identity. Hosted by Camille Kostek and co-chaired by MONDAY Swimwear founders Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman, the evening recognized Ellen Von Unwerth, Leomie Anderson, Bex McCharen, and Melissa Odabash, while welcoming guests including Rob Gronkowski, Lais Ribeiro, Serena Kerrigan, Cindy Prado, Michelle Salas, Fernanda Gimenez, and Ellie Thumann.

Throughout the week, Miami Beach became an extension of the schedule itself. The newly reimagined Delano Miami Beach hosted Ellen Von Unwerth’s photography exhibit, the Von Faith swim capsule presentation, and Sinesia Karol’s runway show, while activations by Rielli, Agua Bendita, White Fox, Montce, Wellness Wonderland, Natasha Tonic, MINI USA, DAYBREAKER, and Von Dutch carried the Swim Week energy across the city. Together, these moments underscored PARAISO’s continued evolution from a runway platform into a multidimensional fashion week experience: one shaped by discovery, spectacle, community, and the enduring pull of Miami Beach.

RISE Introduces a New Stage for Emerging Talent
Among the most notable additions to this year’s PARAISO Miami Swim Week was the debut of RISE, a new production concept created to spotlight emerging swim and resortwear designers within the larger PARAISO ecosystem. Held from May 28–30 at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel, the three-night experience introduced a more intimate, immersive format that expanded the traditional runway setting into something closer to a cultural destination.
Presented against the backdrop of one of Miami Beach’s iconic Art Deco properties, RISE transformed the Surfcomber’s oceanfront pool deck into an open-air runway environment. A custom-built catwalk appeared to float above the hotel’s historic pool, creating the illusion of models walking on water as the evening unfolded beneath the Miami night sky. Framed by palms, music, cabana activations, and the nightlife energy of South Beach, the format gave emerging brands a high-impact stage while allowing guests to engage with collections in a more experiential way.

The inaugural lineup featured a wide range of emerging and contemporary labels, including 12th Tribe, AJA, Atelier Palacios, Aura Maris, Avidlove, Belle D’Amour, Capsool, Christin Marie Studio, Diyanni Yacht Club, Huneys, LA’AVANA, LASCANA, NOHRE, Perichette, Planet Fashion, Rocky Rafaela, Salty Mermaid, SUNCILLO, Trusso Swim, and Vampire Surf Club. Together, the roster reflected the growing breadth of the swim and resortwear category, spanning luxury swim, resort dressing, accessories, intimate apparel, jewelry, surfwear, and sustainability-minded design.

RISE also leaned into the collaborative spirit that has become central to PARAISO’s identity. Official makeup sponsor Ere Perez Natural Beauty brought clean beauty into the experience through backstage artistry and an onsite guest activation, while MONCHO MORENO provided hair styling for the runway presentations. These partnerships helped shape a cohesive environment where fashion, beauty, hospitality, and consumer engagement worked together rather than existing as separate parts of the week.

More than a new venue or satellite schedule, RISE marked a clear expansion of PARAISO’s mission. By creating a dedicated platform for up-and-coming brands, PARAISO reinforced its commitment to discovery while offering emerging designers access to the visibility, production value, and global audience associated with Miami Swim Week. In doing so, RISE became one of the week’s strongest signals of where the platform is headed next: toward a future that makes room for new voices, new formats, and a more immersive way of experiencing swim and resortwear.
Salty Mermaid
Among the standout moments from RISE, Salty Mermaid brought a clear sense of personality to the over-the-pool runway at Kimpton Surfcomber. Presented as a See Now, Buy Now collection, the show leaned into the brand’s bold, destination-ready identity, moving between western-inspired swim styles, coastal neutrals, metallic accents, and feminine silhouettes rooted in adventure and ease.

Designed for the modern beach girl, the collection balanced playful styling with resort-minded polish. The runway gave the presentation a sense of movement, shifting from rugged coastal cowgirl energy into softer, sunlit swimwear moments. With every look available to shop immediately after the show, Salty Mermaid used its RISE debut to connect runway impact with direct consumer access, making it one of the platform’s most memorable independent brand showcases.
From RISE to the PARAISO Runway
While RISE offered a compelling look at the next wave of swim and resortwear talent, the larger PARAISO Miami Swim Week schedule brought its own series of standout runway moments. While designer brought their own unique twist to summer destination fashion, we have our favorite select shows that felt especially memorable, whether through scale, atmosphere, design direction, cultural energy, or the way they captured the evolving spirit of swim and resortwear.
From established luxury houses to celebratory milestone moments and distinctive brand stories, these are the PARAISO runway presentations that stayed with us.
SHAN
SHAN stood out as one of the week’s most polished luxury moments. Returning to the PARAISO Tent at Collins Park after last year’s 40th anniversary showcase, the brand unveiled its Cruise 2027 collection through a lens of coastal elegance, pairing refined swim silhouettes with fluid resortwear, airy coverups, sleek monochrome pieces, and vibrant destination-inspired prints.

The presentation carried the confidence of a house with a long-established point of view. Founded by Chantal Levesque in 1985, SHAN has built its identity around craftsmanship, controlled production, and an elevated approach to swim and resort dressing. This season, that heritage translated into a runway experience that felt both timeless and current, balancing minimalism with statement-making resort pieces. With Ford Models Miami walking the show and curated off-runway moments including a yacht party and cocktail experience with Gatsby, SHAN’s return reinforced the brand’s place as one of PARAISO’s most sophisticated showcases.

Luli Fama
Few shows captured the full spectacle of PARAISO Miami Swim Week quite like Luli Fama, which celebrated 20 years of its annual runway show with one of the week’s biggest moments at the PARAISO Tent at Collins Park. Marking two decades of bold prints, vibrant color, and unmistakable Miami energy, the anniversary presentation honored the brand’s legacy while introducing new styles and silhouettes from its Spring/Summer 2027 collection.

The show carried the spirit of a brand that has long understood swimwear as both fashion and lifestyle. Luli Fama’s signature mix of statement prints, confident cuts, and elevated resortwear came through in a presentation designed to feel celebratory, energetic, and unmistakably connected to the city that helped shape it. The milestone runway also drew from the worlds of fashion, entertainment, and pop culture, with model and television personality Agueda López returning to the runway, while Kendall Vertes and Jessica Vestal also walked the show.

Beyond the runway, the anniversary unfolded as a larger Miami Beach celebration. Leading into the show, Luli Fama hosted its first open casting call for aspiring “Luli Babe” models at the brand’s Lincoln Road boutique, extending the milestone moment to new talent and longtime followers alike. The celebration continued after the runway with an exclusive anniversary after-party at Harbour Club, bringing together designers, models, celebrities, influencers, media, and supporters to mark a defining chapter for the Latin-owned swim and resortwear brand.
LainSnow
LainSnow brought a different kind of energy to PARAISO Miami Swim Week, turning its runway show into a celebration of family, coastal living, and shared summer style. Debuting its collaboration with Last Mango Boatworks, the brand introduced a collection inspired by life on the water, blending Last Mango’s vibrant nautical spirit with LainSnow’s focus on fit, function, and polished swimwear for the entire family.

What made the presentation especially memorable was its multigenerational approach. Women, men, children, and babies walked the runway together, bringing the brand’s family-first identity to life in a way that felt joyful, personal, and refreshingly distinct within the week’s broader swimwear calendar. Against a backdrop of vibrant prints, coastal-inspired styling, and fresh solid colorways in the brand’s signature silhouettes, LainSnow offered a reminder that resortwear can be aspirational without losing its sense of connection, ease, and everyday memory-making.
Spotlight Collective: Zanatany x Origin of Oceans / Voglia
Spotlight Collective brought together three distinct design voices at PARAISO Miami Swim Week, uniting Origin of Oceans, Voglia Swimwear, and Zanatany Concepts in a runway showcase centered on craftsmanship, storytelling, and modern resort luxury. Together, the presentation offered a global view of swim and resortwear, moving from couture-inspired ocean glamour to sustainable Riviera ease and handcrafted accessories rooted in Malagasy tradition.
Zanatany Concepts
Zanatany Concepts enhanced the Spotlight Collective showcase with Soleil 26, bringing an artisanal accessories perspective to the runway. Inspired by the warmth of the sun and the natural beauty of Madagascar, the collection featured handwoven raffia pieces in soft neutrals accented by pastel weaves. Rooted in Malagasy heritage, the brand works with local artisans to preserve traditional basketry and weaving techniques, creating pieces that feel both timeless and deeply connected to place. Within the presentation, including two runway shows - Origin of Oceans and Voglia Swimwear - Zanatany added texture, craft, and a sense of grounded luxury to the broader resortwear stories.

Origin of Oceans
Origin of Oceans opened a world of handcrafted ocean luxury with Decoralis, a collection inspired by Miami’s Art Deco architecture, tropical gardens, and coastal elegance. Founded by Kathleen Bily, the New York-based brand translated swimwear into collectible resort pieces through intricate beadwork, embroidery, pearls, fringe, and hand-applied embellishments. With a palette that moved through oyster neutrals, seafoam greens, flamingo pinks, coral tones, and Riviera blues, the collection captured the changing light of Miami from sunrise to golden hour.

Voglia Swimwear
Voglia Swimwear brought a quieter kind of sophistication to the runway with Larkspur Riviera, a collection inspired by the ease and elegance of summers on the Riviera. Founded by Ashley-Victoria Smith, the North Carolina-based brand emphasized feminine silhouettes, refined details, hand-painted prints, and a palette of cobalt blue, soft lilac, moss green, deep violet, and crisp ivory. Known for its made-to-order approach, reversible designs, and use of sustainable Carvico VITA fabric made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon, Voglia balanced resort-minded beauty with a thoughtful commitment to environmental responsibility.

Oceanus
Capping off the PARAISO Miami Swim Week season, Oceanus delivered a finale rooted in glamour, fantasy, and intricate craftsmanship. For Paradise After Dark, founder and creative director Hannah Attalah drew from the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest, translating the jungle’s wildlife, tropical foliage, and after-sunset atmosphere into a collection of sunlit golds, rich greens, metallic accents, animal motifs, and deep tropical tones.

Known for its high-octane approach to swim and resortwear, Oceanus leaned fully into its signature language of hand-beading, sculptural silhouettes, crystal embellishment, and couture-level detail. The result was a runway presentation that felt lush and cinematic, balancing the raw energy of the rainforest with the brand’s polished sense of vintage glamour.

The show also carried a meaningful sense of momentum. International model Leomie Anderson opened the presentation, only days after Attalah presented her with the Rising Icon Award during Miami Swim Week. Select pieces from Oceanus’ collaboration with legendary designer Bárbara Hulanicki were also shown on the runway, bringing together Oceanus’ modern glamour with Hulanicki’s enduring visual legacy. As the season came to a close, Paradise After Dark offered one of PARAISO’s most transportive moments — a world where tropical fantasy, female empowerment, and exceptional craft converged under a distinctly dramatic lens.
Final Thoughts
Across its 22nd edition, PARAISO Miami Swim Week reaffirmed its role as more than a seasonal runway destination. It functioned as a meeting point for established luxury houses, independent designers, emerging talent, cultural activations, and the broader lifestyle world that continues to surround swim and resortwear. From the debut of RISE to the spectacle of the main PARAISO runway, the week reflected the many directions the category is moving in at once: polished, playful, sustainable, glamorous, experiential, and deeply connected to place.

As Miami Beach once again became the center of the swimwear world, PARAISO made clear that the future of resortwear is not singular. It is shaped by heritage brands and first-time voices, by spectacle and intimacy, by craftsmanship and consumer experience, and by designers who understand that swimwear today lives far beyond the beach. This season, PARAISO did more than simply showcase what comes next, it created the space for it to emerge.

I loved seeing the Resort 2027 trends from Miami Swim Week. What really stood out to me is that many of the styles shown on the runway—bold prints, cut-outs, and elegant one-pieces—look very similar to swimwear I've already found at Cupshe. It's nice to see high-fashion trends that are actually accessible and wearable for everyday beach vacations.
